Rudra United — competitive badminton in Eindhoven
Rudra United is the competitive wing of Eindhoven Badminton Academy — the club our players represent in the Badminton Nederland Bondscompetitie, with teams from youth all the way to seniors. If you want to compete, this is where you land.
- Eerste divisie in under six years
- Youth and senior Bondscompetitie teams
- International and local squad
- Structured adult training
Our mixed team competes in the eerste divisie, one tier below the Eredivisie. One of the fastest climbs any club in the country has made. We did it by building a real pathway rather than buying results — our own academy produces the players, and our coaches move them up as they are ready.
Who plays for Rudra United
A rich mix of international and local talent. Eindhoven brings players here from all over the world, and they train alongside Dutch players who have come up through the region — which is exactly what makes the squad strong.
A pipeline, not a transfer market
A steady stream of talented young players comes up through our own academy, through EBA Foundational, Selection and RTC-EBA, and moves into the competition teams when they are ready.
International and local, together
Players who arrived in Eindhoven from abroad and players who grew up here, in the same teams. Different badminton cultures in one squad is an advantage, not a complication.
Youth and seniors
We field teams across youth and senior Bondscompetitie divisions, so a player can keep progressing at this club rather than leaving to find the right level.
Structured adult training
Competition players do not just turn up and play. Training is structured, coached, and aimed squarely at performance — technique, movement, match patterns and physical work, run by coaches who have played at the level they are teaching.
Fall–Winter, September to February
The league block. Annual membership, participation in the Bondscompetitie, coached training through the season, and a BN id — one package, one price.
Spring–Summer, March to August
Optional training-only block for players who want to keep working through the off-season. You can opt out by February if you would rather not.
One or two days a week
Players in Divisions 6 to 9 choose one or two training days. Two days is the default for Divisions 1 to 5, because that is what the level demands.
University students get 20% off these contributions. Full figures are on the contributions page.
How you join if you want to compete
Read this part before you write to us, because it is the step most people get wrong. You do not sign up directly as a competition player. Everyone starts as a recreational member.
Join as a recreational member
Pick an evening and a frequency on the Adults membership page, or the University Students page if you are studying. If you would rather try one session first, come as a visitor for €12.
Play, and let the coaches see you
You train and play on the recreational evenings like everyone else. Our coaches watch, and they are looking — level, consistency, how you train, and whether the commitment a league season needs is realistic for you.
The club moves you across
Where the fit is right, we change your membership from recreational to competitive and place you in a team. Eligibility and suitability are the club’s call, not an application you fill in — and we will tell you honestly either way.
Already competing elsewhere and looking for an ambitious club? Write to us directly — players arriving from another club are a different conversation, and we would rather have it with you than send you round this loop.
