General

Flexible. International. Innovative. Ambitious. These are the words we associate ourselves with.

Why does flexibility matter? Some players want one evening a week, others cannot get enough, and some want to compete seriously. There is a place for all of them here, and a membership model built around that rather than against it.

We are also serious about youth development. Eindhoven Badminton Academy holds Regional Training Centre (RTC) status under Badminton Nederland, and Rudra United fields teams in the Bondscompetitie. Our head coach is a former Olympian.

Adults and university students join Recreational membership, one to three times a week, with optional coached Training on top. Students get 20% off.

Children aged 4 to 15 who are new to badminton start at EBA Foundational, up to three sessions a week.

EBA Selection is the next step up, for youth chosen by our coaching team for the Talent Development Program.

RTC-EBA is the Regional Training Centre under Badminton Nederland, for selected players training four or more times a week.

EBA Elite is for experienced national and international players who want a professional training environment.

Competition for adults runs through Rudra United teams in the Bondscompetitie. Email info@sportnsocialize.com and our Technical Commission will assess where you fit.

All rates are on the contributions page.

Our sessions are organised in and around Eindhoven, and occasionally in adjoining locations such as Veldhoven, Meerhoven, Waalre or Geldrop, depending on the availability of suitable halls.

The current venues and times for each membership type are listed on the relevant membership page. Active members are notified by email whenever a session time or venue has to change.

Yes. Players at all levels are welcome, from complete beginners to advanced.

Youth (4-15): one trial session, free of charge. Email info@sportnsocialize.com with your child’s age and your preferred location and we will propose a date.

Adults and university students: come along as a visitor for EUR 12 per session — no membership needed, and you can do that before deciding. Email us and we will book you into one of the recreational evenings, subject to available spots.

We also work with Leergeld Eindhoven and take part in Kies je Sport & Kunst. If you are coming to us through either, please mention it when you write.

At minimum you need your own racket and non-marking indoor shoes. Shuttles are provided by the club. We do not lend equipment.

If you need gear, our club sponsor BadmintonPlanet has a webshop and a shop in Eindhoven at Zeelsterstraat 32, 5652 EK Eindhoven. Mention that you play for Rudra United to be granted their club discount on selected brands.

Yes. We have experienced and ex-professional players as coaches. Depending on age, you can opt for youth or senior training, typically once or twice a week, on top of a recreational membership.

Rudra United competes in the Badminton Nederland Bondscompetitie, and Eindhoven Badminton Academy runs a four-tier youth pathway: EBA Foundational, EBA Selection, RTC-EBA and EBA Elite.

If you would like to be considered for a competition team, contact us at info@sportnsocialize.com. Our Technical Commission will look at your playing level and current squad availability and come back to you.

Yes, subject to available spots on the day, and always after checking with the club administrators first.

  • Visitor (non-member): EUR 12 per session.
  • Ad hoc day for an existing member: EUR 8, or EUR 12 including training.

Drop-ins apply to adult recreational sessions only. They are not available for players representing the club in competition, or for youth members. Full pricing is on the contributions page.

Adult recreational sessions typically run for 3 hours, including intervals. Youth training sessions are 2 hours, except for the Minis group (typically 4-6 years old), who train for a shorter period.

You may play for only part of a session if you prefer, but the contribution is fixed per session regardless of how long you stay.

Membership and billing changes

You choose Monthly or Annual, and you choose how many times a week you want to play: once, twice or three times. Your contribution follows from that combination. Full rates are on the contributions page.

A season runs from 1 September to 31 August. An Annual membership covers that season, not a calendar year. A month means an ordinary calendar month.

A recreational membership is the minimum required to join. Coached training can be added on top of it as a separate, optional add-on.

No. Swapping days is not possible, as tracking it for every member would be unmanageable. If you cannot make the day you are registered for, that session simply lapses.

What you can do is take an ad hoc day to play on a day you are not subscribed to, at the member rate, subject to available spots. Priority always goes to members registered for that session.

Monthly membership: yes. The full monthly contribution is charged for the month you join, regardless of the date your membership is submitted and approved. There is no pro-rata reduction.

Annual membership: this is calculated pro-rata according to when in the season you join, and collected in one instalment: September-November 100%, December-February 75%, March-May 50%, June-August 25%.

A one-time new member registration charge of EUR 12 also applies.

Yes. Where more than one member of the same household is registered at the same time, each additional member from the second onwards receives 20% off their recurring contribution.

Who qualifies. The family discount exists to encourage recreational and beginner-level badminton within families. It applies only when every household member counted is in Recreational Adults, Recreational University Students or EBA Foundational Youth.

If any member of the household is a Competitive player, or is in RTC-EBA, EBA Selection or EBA Elite, the household does not qualify — and that includes the recreational member. For example, if one partner plays competition and the other plays recreationally, neither receives the discount. These are advanced and competitive programmes, which are already priced accordingly.

Which membership it comes off. The 20% is applied to the lower-priced membership in the household. Where two memberships cost the same, it is applied to the second one registered. A second family member cannot take a larger package than the first and claim the discount on it.

It applies to recreation and training add-on fees. It does not apply to one-time charges such as registration, the administrative fee, the BN ID, or the youth competition fee.

To claim it, email info@sportnsocialize.com naming everyone in the household who plays or is about to join. The discount is applied from the point it is reported and processed into the next collection cycle. It is not applied retroactively.

From 1 January 2027, Badminton Nederland requires every member of an affiliated club to hold a Badminton Nederland association ID, recreational players included. This is a Badminton Nederland requirement, not a club rule.

The charge is EUR 27 per calendar year (1 January to 31 December). Competitive players already hold a BN ID and are not charged again.

If you are already registered with Badminton Nederland through another club, you will not be charged twice. We check registration status before applying the charge, so there is nothing you need to do.

By SEPA direct debit. By submitting the membership form you consent to automatic collection.

Each cycle, your itemised invoice is generated first, and the direct debit follows. We email all members the exact dates for each collection cycle, so please make sure there are sufficient funds in your account around that time.

A rejected direct debit creates administrative rework and cost for the club, so if something looks wrong, please contact us rather than blocking the collection at your bank.

Every contribution you pay is invoiced, and all your invoices sit in the Badminton Nederland (BN) app, under your own profile. Open the app, log in, and you will find your membership plan and your invoices there; each one can be opened and saved as a PDF. We do not send invoices separately by e-mail.

No BN app account yet? See How do I set up my Badminton Nederland (BN) app account? below. If you cannot log in, or an invoice appears to be missing, e-mail info@sportnsocialize.com and we will sort it out.

Your membership details, the club calendar and all your invoices live in the Badminton Nederland app. Setting it up takes a couple of minutes:

  1. Install the Badminton Nederland app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Open the app and tap Forgot password.
  3. Enter your membership number (lidnummer / BN ID). You received it from us when you joined. Don’t have it to hand? E-mail info@sportnsocialize.com and we will send it to you.
  4. Tap Send login. You will receive an e-mail with a link to set your password.
  5. Set the password and log in to the app.
  6. Check your personal details — address, phone number, e-mail — and correct them if needed.

That is it. From then on your membership plan, our training calendar and your invoices are all in the app.

We have a large and mixed pool of players, so you will almost certainly find people at or around your own level.

No. We are a social club, and we deliberately shuffle and randomise players so people meet and learn from each other. We do set aside time for free play in every session, where you can play with whoever you like.

No. Contributions are not adjusted, credited or reimbursed for missed sessions, and missed sessions cannot be made up on another day.

If you know in advance that you will be away for a longer period, Monthly members can use the membership pause, or end the membership and rejoin later. Annual members cannot pause. See the membership terms and conditions for the full position.

Monthly members can pause for up to two months per season. A EUR 15 processing fee applies per pause request, and it is non-refundable once the pause has been processed.

No contribution is collected for the paused months, and your membership resumes automatically at the end of the agreed period, so you keep your spot and avoid paying the new member registration charge again.

Annual members cannot pause. An Annual membership is a commitment for the full season.

To request a pause, email info@sportnsocialize.com.

Email info@sportnsocialize.com by the 20th calendar day of the preceding month. Changes requested after that take effect the month after.

A change of membership preference carries an administrative charge, currently EUR 10, as published on the contributions page. Please also tell us promptly if your bank details or email address change.

Use the Membership Termination Form. Please do not rely on a message sent by another route, as the form is what lets us record your request and confirm the effective date.

Monthly members can terminate at any time during the season. The request must reach us by the 20th calendar day of the preceding month. For example, to stop from 1 August, submit the form by 20 July.

Annual members cannot terminate mid-season, and cannot pause. An Annual membership is a commitment for the full season. If you do not wish to continue into the next season, notify us by 1 June.

Contributions are not refunded for sessions missed before the termination takes effect.

Email info@sportnsocialize.com and we will investigate as quickly as we can. If an amount has genuinely been collected in error, it will be refunded in full.

Please do not. When a direct debit is rejected at the bank, our payment provider charges the club a penalty, and the club may have to recover that penalty and any administrative charges from the member concerned.

If you disagree with a collection, contact us at info@sportnsocialize.com first. We will look into it against the membership terms and refund anything collected in error.

EBA Foundational

Children aged 4 to 15 who are new to badminton or building their basics. Players register for one, two or three training sessions a week.

Eindhoven Badminton Academy holds Regional Training Centre status under Badminton Nederland, and Foundational is the entry point into that pathway. Players who show talent and commitment may be invited by the coaching team into EBA Selection.

Details and the registration form are on the EBA Foundational page.

Yes — one trial session, free of charge. Email info@sportnsocialize.com with your child’s age and your preferred location and we will propose a date.

We also work with Leergeld Eindhoven and take part in Kies je Sport & Kunst. Please mention it if you are coming to us through either.

  • Wednesdays 16:00 – 18:00, Sporthal Genderbeemd
  • Saturdays 13:00 – 17:00, Sporthal Genderbeemd
  • Sundays 13:00 – 16:00, Tennishal Eindhoven Noord
  • Mondays 16:00 – 18:00, Tennishal Eindhoven Noord

Times are indicative — children are placed by age and skill level. You may register for a maximum of three days.

Monthly: EUR 37 for one session a week, EUR 71 for two, EUR 92 for three. Annual equivalents are EUR 390, EUR 669 and EUR 812.

A one-time registration charge of EUR 12 applies. Competition participation, if your child takes it up, is EUR 130 for the season. Full rates are on the contributions page.

Yes. EBA Foundational is one of the three eligible categories, alongside Recreational Adults and Recreational University Students.

The condition is that every household member counted must be in one of those three. If a sibling is in EBA Selection or RTC-EBA, or a parent plays competition, the household does not qualify. See the full rule under Membership and billing changes.

Yes. Children are grouped by age and skill, and coaches move players up when they are ready rather than strictly on birthday.

The Minis group, typically 4 to 6 years old, trains for a shorter period because two hours is too long at that age. From roughly age 7, training sessions are 2 hours.

If you think your child is ready to move group, speak to the coach or email info@sportnsocialize.com.

An economical, normal-size racket, roughly EUR 15 to EUR 30, of the kind adults use. It may look heavy for a 4 to 6 year old, but children adapt quickly and it is better than a short junior racket.

Our club sponsor BadmintonPlanet can advise. Your child will also need non-marking indoor shoes. Shuttles are provided by the academy.

Yes. Players wear the EBA jersey during training and when representing EBA or Rudra United at tournaments and competitions. Jerseys of other clubs are fine at events we do not host.

Jerseys are ordered in bulk rounds through an order form announced by email, with a firm closing date, because the order goes to our supplier as one batch. The cost is added to your next invoice and jerseys are collected in person at announced slots. If you joined after a round closed, email info@sportnsocialize.com.

From July to mid-August there are no trainings. The academy runs one recreational session per week for all youth instead, and parents are welcome to join their children on court.

Contributions are unchanged during the summer months — the season is priced across the full twelve months, not per session.

Youth competition is organised by our Youth Commission. Registration runs through a dedicated form circulated by email each spring for the following season.

Players need a Badminton Nederland ID, which we arrange, and a club jersey. The youth competition fee is EUR 130 per season. To be considered, email info@sportnsocialize.com.

EBA Selection

EBA Selection is the intensive Youth Talent Development Program at Eindhoven Badminton Academy, for players roughly 6 to 15 years old chosen on talent, performance and commitment. It is the step between EBA Foundational and RTC-EBA.

By invitation from the EBA coaching team — it is not a programme you apply into directly. Coaches watch players in Foundational training and at tournaments.

If you believe your child is ready, or your child trains elsewhere and you would like them assessed, email info@sportnsocialize.com and we will arrange for a coach to see them.

Three sessions a week. EUR 154 per month, or EUR 1,849 for the season.

EBA Selection participants are required to hold an Annual membership. Contributions are collected either monthly or annually, starting at the beginning of the season. Full rates are on the contributions page.

EBA Selection is the one category where an injury refund is possible. If an injury prevents participation in the programme and in all sporting activity for the remainder of the season, a 50% refund for the proportional period of non-participation may be offered.

The injury must be reported to EBA promptly. Refunds are processed at the end of the season.

No. The family discount is limited to Recreational Adults, Recreational University Students and EBA Foundational Youth.

If one child is in EBA Selection and a sibling is in EBA Foundational, the household does not qualify at all — the Foundational sibling does not receive it either. Selection, RTC-EBA and EBA Elite are advanced programmes and are already priced accordingly.

Yes. These trainings are open to talented youth from other badminton clubs and badminton schools. Email info@sportnsocialize.com to arrange an assessment.

Both run at the same venues with the same coaching team. The difference is volume and selection.

EBA Selection is three sessions a week and is selected by the EBA coaching team. RTC-EBA is the Regional Training Centre under Badminton Nederland, requires a minimum of four sessions a week, and players are selected jointly by the EBA and Badminton Nederland coaching staff.

If your schedule will not support four days a week, EBA Selection is the right programme.

RTC-EBA

RTC stands for Regional Training Centre. Eindhoven Badminton Academy holds RTC status under Badminton Nederland, and RTC-EBA is the high-performance youth programme run under that status, with players selected by the EBA and Badminton Nederland coaching staff.

Selected youth players, typically 6 to 15 years old, chosen by the EBA and Badminton Nederland coaching team on talent, performance and commitment. Players from other clubs and badminton schools are welcome.

To have a player assessed, email info@sportnsocialize.com.

No. RTC-EBA requires a minimum of four training sessions a week. That intensity is what the programme is for, and it is not offered at a lower frequency.

EBA Selection is the right alternative: same venues, same coaching team, three sessions a week. Email info@sportnsocialize.com and we will talk it through.

  • 4 trainings a week — EUR 180 per month (EUR 2,150 per season for reference)
  • 6 trainings a week — EUR 267 per month (EUR 3,200)
  • 8 trainings a week — EUR 325 per month (EUR 3,900)

For the RTC programme contributions are collected monthly; the annual figures are given for reference only. July and most of August count as summer vacation. Full rates are on the contributions page.

Yes. RTC-EBA players and their parents or guardians sign a Spelersovereenkomst — a player agreement covering commitment, attendance and conduct.

The agreement itself runs from season to season without needing to be re-signed each year; programme and pricing details sit in an annex that is updated per season. You will receive it as part of the intake.

No. The family discount is limited to Recreational Adults, Recreational University Students and EBA Foundational Youth, and it requires every household member counted to be in one of those categories.

A household with an RTC-EBA player does not qualify, including for a recreational sibling or parent.

EBA Elite

EBA Elite is our high-performance training environment for serious national and international players who have already trained at a professional or high level and want to keep doing so.

It sits outside the youth pathway: it is open regardless of age, previous pathway or club affiliation.

Experienced national and international players. This is not an entry point into the sport, and it is not a step up from recreational play — players are expected to arrive with a high-performance background.

If you are looking to improve your technique or start competing, Recreational membership with the Training add-on, or the EBA youth pathway, is the right place to begin.

Four sessions a week, at EUR 537.50 per month. See the contributions page.

No. Unlike EBA Selection and RTC-EBA, the EBA Elite membership does not carry an annual commitment.

No. The family discount covers Recreational Adults, Recreational University Students and EBA Foundational Youth only, and a household containing an EBA Elite player does not qualify.

Email info@sportnsocialize.com with your playing background, current training level and what you are looking for. Our coaching team will come back to you about suitability and availability.
